Purr Data packaged for Flatpak

This is a Flatpak for Purr Data.

Purr Data is a popular fork of Pure Data, an open source visual programming language for multimedia.

Permissions

• x11: it doesn't support wayland at all. nwjs complains.
• filesystem host: home might be sufficient but tightening break things for users.
• filesystem xdg-run/pipewire-0: this is for pipewire (JACK support)
• socket pulseaudio: sound including ALSA and MIDI devices.

How to build

This Flatpak uses the standard flatpak-builder tool to build.

You can run a command like the following to build the package from this repo and install it in your 'user' Flatpak installation:

flatpak-builder --install ./build net.purrdata.PurrData.yml --force-clean --user

During development you can also run a build without installing it, like this:

flatpak-builder --run build net.purrdata.PurrData.yml pd-l2ork

Version update process

1. Make sure purr-data repo is available:

   git clone https://github.com/agraef/purr-data/

2. Install hub commandline tool

3. Run ./auto-update.py
