I'm shutting down the server and archiving this project due to this incident. I hope it can still serve as a useful example for others in building their own Quake addon server. Please be careful with any scalable hosting provider.
The original README follows below:
Table of Contents
This is a custom addon server for Quake (2021) allowing you easy access to additional community created content.
Append +ui_addonsBaseURL http://kexquake.netlify.app/
to your Quake launch options.
Click for Testing Branch...
If you wish to test additional mods in various stages of compatibility:
Append +ui_addonsBaseURL http://kexquake.netlify.app/testing/
to your Quake launch options.
Submit an issue if you discover a mod is now fully functional after a game update so it can be moved up to stable.
- Alkaline
- Arcane Dimensions
- Copper
- Dwell
- Quake 64
- X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse
Click for addons in testing...
- Team Fortress
Make sure you have a trailing slash on the addons URL.
Your download was either corrupted or there's connectivity issues with the server. Delete the addon and try again.
Post an issue on how to replicate the problem and we'll take a look at it and consider moving it back to testing.
