Notes

two publishers contacted, waiting to see if we'll get authors, need to know if they'll agree with our licensing needs
update on reorg:
- need to resolve style chapter (make an appendix, flow is cleaner and change is straightforward)
- proposal for project chapter: explain directory structure early in intro (but don't create directories): this sets up roadmap of book, and won't need much more modification in rest of book (assigned to Charlotte)
- other sections from project chapter will be noted as FIXME by Charlotte with language changes finished off by Greg in next edit round
- provenance chapter: balancing info about data provenance vs. things immediately useful for this project/book; focus more on code provenance, including our narrative; added content from Titus Brown
timeline: publishers will probably take a few weeks to get back to us
- Greg away all next week, but can review changes at that point
- need more exercises and diagrams, exercises can wait until last minute but diagrams need to be done sooner (Kate to do GitHub screenshots)
- last minute LaTeX formatting handled by Greg's person
add info into introduction to describe how this material can be used as university course, as well as ways to plug-and-play with different datasets
