Summary

Changes to Custom Domain page and Domain Hijacking page for domain validation release - Documentation updates to reflect changes in the domain validation workflow to prevent subdomain takeovers, as part of the domain validation release by EDRT squad

Effect

The following changes are already committed:

• Adding some content to the https://docs.pantheon.io/guides/domains/domain-hijacking doc to reflect the updated domain validation release
• Updating content in the https://docs.pantheon.io/guides/domains/custom-domains doc to reflect changes

Remaining Work and Prerequisites

The following changes still need to be completed:

• Pending release of the backend changes for the domain validation release

Dependencies and Timing

• The backend and frontend changes for domain validation mentioned in https://pantheon.slack.com/archives/C04NQGQSDPG/p1696623327695839 need to be deployed first

Release:

• When ready: This doc should be merged only after the backend and frontend code changes mentioned in https://pantheon.slack.com/archives/C04NQGQSDPG/p1696623327695839 are deployed.

• Redirect /old-path/ => /new-path/ (if applicable)
• Include/exclude pages ^ respectively within docs search service provider (if applicable)
• For Heroes - add a props post to the discussion board.
