Important

Coldsweat has been replaced by "Legendary Survival Overhaul" - Your temperature insulation will be reset and new mechanics are in place. These are still VERY work in progress, feedback is needed

  • Updated Mods
  • Added Sound Physics Remastered, if your performance dips feel free to remove. This is an experimental addition.
  • Added a MASSIVE amount of structures. And am debating returning the default villages. We shall see.
  • LV has yet to be modified. This is just to get an update out to check against stability.

Spoiler warning - Introduced the Progenitor; The Origin of the Overseers.
- Updated Virtues, Beings formed of overseer desperation, and your first boss introduced at EV.
- Updated Main Protagonist Narrative in a few places, trying to figure out a system which keys into this better, may just dedicate a particular text format to self-dialogue/thoughts

Important

Fixes World Save State issues Caused from mod updates in 0.5.6 Make sure to backup your world. This may cause Some Biomes O Plenty and Biomes We've gone tree's to lose their leaves however that's better than your world not saving!

Update GregTech:Modern to 1.6.1

  • Variety of KubeJS Patches
  • Mod Downgrades and Updates for Stability - there was about 40-50 of these so listing them would be exhaustive.
  • Added A Recipe for Tuna Sandwhiches
  • Machine Casing/Hull Textures have been updated to match materials, or indicate material color changes for future patches.

Overall I am much more satisfied with the packs stability with this update, and feel it is a good place to leave it in.

This will be the last 0.5.X patch unless something MAJOR occurs. ALL Efforts will be focused on 0.6.0 Which will focus on LV Refactors and LuV Content's Full Release.

This update should address most if not all the issues in 0.5.5

Notable changes

  • Occultism Chalks have been migrated to IPBF only.
  • A lot of work done inside of CosmicCore (The Pack's Core Mod) to fix many bugs with steam machines
  • Updated Every Mod, including GTM to 1.5.4 which has Ore Vein support on the minimap, as well as many amazing new features.

I apologize with how long this update took to get out!

This will be the last update for 2024, I'll see you all in 2025!

This is a Test Build attempting to resolve critical bugs within 0.5.6, BACK UP YOUR SAVES AND PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Downgraded All Mods from 0.5.6, This means BOP will be missing some new wood types. And some mods behaviors will revert a bit
Selectively updated about 40 of the 80-ish mods 0.5.6 Updated

There is currently save state chunk errors occurring. Please Attempt to reproduce them and re-verify if they are occurring!

Update Notice!

If you are updating from an earlier version of the pack you need to FULLY REMOVE the following folders

  1. KubeJS
  2. Mods
  3. Configs
  4. DefaultConfigs

Delete them first, then replace with the ones zipped

Secondly, you will need to delete the config files inside your world

  1. Go to your save
  2. Delete 'serverconfig'
  3. Reload the World After Updating

There you go, you've updated Successfully!
Singleplayer World need to do this, as well as multiplayer worlds.

What's Changed

Fixed Several issues with frontiers chains from MV-IV

Major Overhaul to Steam, As well as a new QB. - Please be aware the Shop is still a WIP. and some work on LuV

  • The Steam Chapter is the First to Receive this rewrite, Each Future update will continue to work on improving previous content to bring it up to the standard I want for this pack.
  • New Questbook Reward Currency "Perpetuity"
  • Every Steam Age Quest has been filled out with a description, if you spot any that are missing please let me know!
  • Gregified Food! New Machines for Cooking as well that allow you to easily automate many recipes
  • Added Trophies
  • Reworked Circuit Ratios so they are weighted better for their cost, please make sure to redo your patterns
  • Many Mods Given a proper coat of paint with new recipes
  • Many AE2 Recipes have been patched through
  • Source Waste Water Treatment works
  • Occultism is now used for progression

Important Announcement

I've Been working on frontiers for almost a year now, with peaks and valleys ofc, I am feeling a bit exausted from Packdev and need a proper break to enjoy my other hobbies. I'll be taking a short break from packdev, most likely a month or two while I focus on Youtube Again.
Once I've rested well, I'll return and finish 0.6.0 Completely and start working on 0.7.0
We've almost hit 5000 Downloads, I want to thanks Everyone who's been playing and I'll see you soon

Ps. I won't be entirely gone most likely, as I'll still handle bug-reports or patching. I'm just going to slow down a bit (As there's no way I could leave frontiers alone entirely lol)

I really hate this game - 0.5.2 'Unbreaking Slightly'

  • Added BiomesWe'veGone Woodtypes to the monolithic hellhole that is the GTWoodTypes.js file
  • Fixed a few mods being missing (there's probably more missing)
  • Fixed the Seal of the underworld softlock due to no more embers
  • Added Stone Pressure plate and Button Recipes after like 3 versions of people telling me this
  • I think about 75% of wood recipes work now. Probably Missing stuff, fuck if I know
  • Fixed up configs that decided to take a vacation on recent updates, they are now being properly paid nothing to exist where they're meant to.

What's Changed

I fixed stuff, quests, recipes, softlocks, you name it? I probably had to cry and sob and eat 9000kcalories to fix it.

This release repairs the pack to a more stable state

Updated GT to 1.4.0 - NEW TEXTURES! MANY FIXES, A BETTER FRONTIERS!

I am now a GregtechCEu:Modern dev and as a result future updates may be a little slower, but it means I can force my hand to fix issues in GTM

Major changes

  • Removed Mob Levels
  • Removed ALL Combat Mods (Epic Fight / Better Combat and the related supporter mods)
    Weapon mods are still installed, enjoy :)
  • Slimmed down on the food options
  • Added some new things here and there
  • Harded Rebreather was Renamed to Reinforced Respirator.
  • I forgot to make FeCl3 quest optional, whoops i just realized this as I was writing this.

0.5.0 "Songs of Virtues" Has beeen released, EV and IV are here proper!

This is probably the largest frontiers release I've ever done, through blood sweat and tears I've fixed a plethora of bugs, added so much more content. I'll try to go over what the past couple of months have contained

New Content (Generalized)

CosmicBliss - The official shader of frontiers has now been shipped with installs - Credits go to X0nk for making Bliss shaders as wonderful as they are, I took the liberty to make them as functional as I could with frontiers modlist. This shader is pretty intense, so please be warned

  • All New EBF Coil Tiers
    Any coil past nichrome has been replaced with custom frontiers coils, they are as follows
PRISMATIC_TUNGSTENSTEEL - 4500 - Replaced Tungsten/TPM
RESONANT_VIRTUE_MELD - 5400 - Replaced HSSG
NAQUADIC_SUPERALLOY - 7200 - Replaced Naq
TRINAVINE - 9500 - Replaced Tritanium
PSIONIC_GALVORN - 10800 - Replaced Uh... Wait
LIVING_IGNICLAD - 12800 - These are new tiers
PROGRAMMABLE_MATTER - 15800 - Why is it so hot.
SHIMMERING_NEUTRONIUM - 19840 - Guh.
CAUSAL_FABRIC - 36000 - Can I wear it?

  • Replaced Better Combat with EpicFight, Combat mode can be toggled with a hotkey, don't forget to change it!
  • Seal of the underworld now has an alternate recipe after acquiring one to allow friends to follow you into the mantle
  • Basic Circuit Lithography, affecting only the CPU of Nano and quantum circuits for now

EV Content

  • Nano Circuit Rewrite
  • An entirely new Platline
  • Thundering Source Diesel, A stronger version of cetane boosted diesel
  • Molten Salt Reactors - This is our Nuclear processing until GTM gets CEU nuclear ported
  • Prisma A new material based on leaching color charge from prismarine
  • Drygmy Groves An industrial mobfarm which has it's output multiplied by the amount of stored drygmy charms
  • Essence Reactor, Handles complex arcane chemistry
  • Tungsten Chain, a new processing line for Tungsten processing
  • New magnetic allows for making IV motors and utilizing your Rare earth processing

IV Content

  • Quantum Lithography and Quantum Circuit rewrite
  • Indium Processing can now use dusts as well as purified ores
  • Middle Rare earth processing - mainly for samarium for getting your LUV motors
  • Naq Processing has been overhauled, people familiar with GCYL naq processing will find this fixed version pretty fun
  • Netherstar Slag line - A unique way of getting netherstars | Recipes with stars that are meant to be earlier will be adjusted in the future
  • Resonant Virtue Meld | A powerful material combining the properties of a false god and a funny radioactive ingot... to get... really hot? fuck if i know.
  • Large machines | Oh hey if you look close enough you might spot some new NYI parallel hatches lurking in cosmic core, as well as some new massive multiblocks
  • Pyroflux a pure concentration of ignis straight from the mantle. Used to forge higher grade metals.

There's so much wrapped into this update I'm bound to have missed stuff, created bugs, probably broke something in a really dumb way (wood is probably still borked for the 9000000th time idfk) I need YOUR help to find it, please report bugs to the github as usual

Frontiers BleedingEdge build 0

Bleeding Edge Builds are for testing with the official frontiers server, as well as allow users more frequent updates between major patches

Notable changes

  • Ore Leaching and Flotation have been added
  • A bunch more recipe fixes have been done, most notably to wood recipes
  • The Questbook now only shows you chapters you've unlocked, reach the end of a chapter to unlock the next (For the main progress chapters)
  • Some QB cleanup, not much though
  • Replaced Better Combat with Epic Fight, and Integrated The Stamina system frontiers uses to deal with attacks
  • !!! KNOWN BUG : Non-vanilla weaponTypes in Epic Fight currently do not use stamina, will be fixed in the next patch of CosmicCore !!!
  • Stamina now Regens MUCH faster, taking a total of roughly 5-10 seconds to recover fully
  • General Stat squashes to mobs to prevent them from nuking you
  • Skill Scrolls can now be crafted, the actual Skill tree itself is still a WIP and will be for the foreseeable future, Should be properly usable in one of the next few bleedingedge builds
  • Campfires can no longer be veinmined
  • GTCEU Has been updated, most notably adding Machine rotation, medicine, and reworking the hazards system to not be awful.

Probably more random bug fixes and conflicts I've fixed, however have forgotten now.
