Fractal Video Creation

This functionality does not currently exist yet.

To create a fractal video, go to the video menu. In the video menu, you can choose from a few options:

  • Duration/frame-rate: How long will the video last for.
  • Coordinates/parameters: What coordinates/parameters to change throughout the video and the method of interpolation. Coordinates can be interpolated linearly, or "smoothly".
  • Rendering Quality: What resolution, precision, samples per pixel, and etc to render the video at.
  • Video File: What format to export the video as. ABS-Fractal-Explorer comes with the ability to export a video as a PNG/JPEG/TGA/BMP image sequence. If you link ABS-Fractal-Explorer with FFmpeg, you can export in several more codecs and file formats such as MKV, MP4, GIF, and APNG.
  • File name and location: After setting up everything else, select where you want the video to be saved and what the video should be named. You can choose between formatting frame numbers from a few presets or by entering custom printf arguments.
