#Frequently Asked Questions
Check the following:
- Are you using the latest version of the mod?(It's clearly displayed on the OP at the forum thread)
- Are you using the version of Forge that the mod is built upon?(10.13.2.1230)
- Are you actually in the version of Minecraft the mod is built for?(1.7.10)
- Have you tried turning it off and on again?(Seriously, try removing the mod first, and then re-adding it, to make sure it is actually Adventure Backpack causing the error.)
If the answer for ALL of those is "yes", then do the following:
- If you got the mod as part of a mod pack, ask in the mod pack's official website/blog/forum thread/whatever what's up with that. It might be another mod conflicting.
- If you got the mod by yourself, go to the Issue Tracker, and create a new issue. Please include a crash report (prefferably at pastebin.com, as it helps readability), or it won't be of any use at all.
- Wait patiently for an answer. It doesn't usually take long to get noticed, acknowledged and answered, but fixes take time.
Yes, yes you can. The license allows it.
Just be kind and leave a link to the original Minecraft forum thread, and a mention of the author's name somewhere.
Additionally, take responsibility to keep the mod updated in your mod pack and try to process users' inquiries before sending them to the Issue Tracker.
Because this mod is not compatible with the Player API, or any mod that uses it.
At the handy dandy Github's Issue Tracker
The license allows it, but only what is inside of the package darkona.adventurebackpack. Baubles.api has its own license, as well as copy.betterstorage and codechicken.lib, but apparently those are open source too, just check it out first.
The code has been comented and documented as best as has been possible with the author's pace of coding, but it should be helpful. If you have inquiries you can just ask.
The author learned a lot from other people's code and tutorials, so the least he can do is let others learn from his code.
The usual treatment is: try not to just copypaste stuff but instead figure out how it's done so you can implement your own solution. Good luck with whatever you're doing with it anyway.
Your MOM stinks.
Because making a mod is not an exact science, and software development is a long road full of bugs to an unobtainable, yet attractive perfection.
Yes, of course you can. You can fork the repository and submit pull requests for fixing bugs, adding new enhancements or features.
The author does only speak two languages, so you can add translations. He is also a very not good artist overall, so help with textures is appreciated. Suggestions on features (that make sense) and general feedback are always welcome. The author reserves the authority of deciding which of those make it into the mod, though.
i continue this mod because i original making fixes for my server/modpacks only, then i decide to make it public for anyone instead of exclusive for servers/modpacks
Only if it makes sense.
You can follow him @Darkona in Twitter. He does not tweet much these days, but you can see whenever he pushes new changes to the mod. His name is Javier. Also is he original developer for this Adventure Backpack mod. You can follow @runescapejon he keep this mod continue to make fixes and and new updates
That's not a question. And your name is stupid too.
It changes texture according to certain holidays/days of observance. A full list will be compiled soon.
Wow, hey there tiger, calm down. The author accepts donatives, the link can be found in the OP in Minecraft forums (HERE), down below. In the curse page there's also a link.
The author has a personal problem (read: the burning hate of a million suns) with people whose battlecry is "my inmersion" or "game balance". It's a game. That said, configuration for different requirements is going to be a thing that exists to cater different play styles, and some resource usage might be a little off, so it'll be tweaked.
Why are you using it, then? The fact you are using it and are giving feedback, although negative, shows you care. The author would like to give you a hug and tell you it's going to be all right. Please be kind and tell the author how it could improve, you might actually have a point!

Because the author got the idea from a post in planetminecraft.com. The details are in the Credits page.
Nope. The author won't produce a version of this mod for any other version than which it is being currently produced for. Do not insist. You should know, by the way, that asking such a thing is a high form of insult to any mod maker. It takes a lot of work and dedication (and knowledge!) to make even the simplest mod, so asking for a different version of Minecraft to be attended to is like saying "I like the humongous amount of effort you've put into this mod, can you do it again so I can stay in the same backwards version forever?"
When the time is right, and the stars align just fine, and the mighty emerald dragon awakes from its slumber, yes.
Currently there is no way of getting it, but if you help within the mod @runescapejon will reward you with one
