All Four dispensers have failed

Problem: All four dispensers have failed.

Solution:

  1. Unplug the Arduino power.
  1. Check to make sure the power LED indicator for the Arduino is off after unplugging (Green = on)
  • If the Arduino's light is still on, this means that the Arduino is receiving power from another source. For example, if the Arduino is connected via USB, the light would still be on.
  • Unplug this alternate source.
  1. Plug in the Arduino again. All dispensers should be functioning now.

  2. If the dispensers still do not work, unplug Arduino from power again. This time, remove the motor shield as well.

At this point, the Arduino should be working again after plugging it back into a power source. However, if it doesn't-

  1. Try another Arduino. Separate motor shield (small blue board as shown above) from Arduino as such:
  1. Align motor shield with new Arduino. Hold the Arduino such that the power plug is closest to you. Align motor shield such that the pin furthest to the right on the motor shield will insert into the slot labeled "A5" on the Arduino.
  1. Finger poke to see if dispensers are working properly.

  2. If still not working, plug Arduino into USB and follow Arduino-based Diagnostics Procedure.
