- Communication structure with Modelon and Objexx
- Preparation for lab call
- Modelon
- Stuart: FMI-QSS
- Kyle, Michael: EnergyPlus-Modelica coupling.
- Other items
Not out yet.
Michael to work on license protection test case.
Agnes to start on QSS additions to OCT.
Next OCT expected to ship MSL 3.2.3 and 4.0.0.
For next subcontract, Kyle likes to be able to use a public API.
Stuart set up framework to emit PyFMI-style results. Next is to add .mat output format.
Primary focus shifts to QSS correctness and performance. All demo models work fine, next is to better understand what causes the issues in the models from the Buildings library (related to events and sensitivity to derivatives).
Use .mat files for QSS results. See also https://github.com/modelica-3rdparty/ExternData for drivers to read and write files.
For current NREL subcontract, move PyFMI wrapper to next year in order to prioritize the QSS performance.
Issues are at https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Aspawn
Next, work on
- Spawn FMUs are not yet self contained, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2054 Should spawn.exe call be replaced by a call to a library function, with spawn.exe a wrapper for debugging? Michael to write up a specification for the implementation.
- Buildings library to report last E+ fatal error, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2521
- [For FY21, Q2] Kyle to fix schedule: https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2000
- (Kyle either fixes it, or proposes new wording for https://lbl-srg.github.io/soep/softwareArchitecture.html#sending-input-to-energyplus)
- [For FY21, Q2] Kyle to look into numerical instability (walls may be initialized to wrong temperature). See for example Experimental/EnergyPlus/Examples/VAVReheatRefBldgSmallOffice/FloorOpenLoop. The temperature in the attic should not raise in the first hour. (Pending since Nov. 2019)
- Remove warnings issued by EnergyPlus, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2220
- Support negative start time in EnergyPlus, https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/1938
Plan for Spawn 0.x release by end of September, with Buildings Library 8.0.1 release (that includes bug fix for QLat_flow as in https://github.com/lbl-srg/modelica-buildings/issues/2602).
Videos are going to be posted soon.
None.
Kyle to make modifications to NREL subcontract.
Michael to integrate new Spawn binaries.
Michael to set up test cases for OCT protection mechanism.
Prepare upcoming release of Spawn and Buildings 8.0.1.
